Research Scholarships

 

Sydney Medical School Surgery Research scholarships

Sydney Medical School is offering two scholarships for the degree of
Doctor of Philosophy or Doctor in Clinical Surgery, in the Discipline of
Surgery; applicants must be either Australian or New Zealand citizens or
Australian permanent residents, have an MBBS or equivalent
qualification, be admitted to full time candidature for the degree of
Doctor of Philosophy or Doctor in Clinical Surgery in the Sydney Medical
School; equivalent to the NHMRC stipend; up to three years.

Closing Date:  1 December 2010

 

Postgraduate Scholarship in Stigma and Discrimination of Mental
Disorders

A full-time postgraduate scholarship, funded by the NHMRC is available
for an enthusiastic candidate in the field of Stigma and Discrimination
of Mental Disorders; the project will address key areas of everyday life
and social participation, including work, marriage, parenting, housing,
leisure, and religious activities through survey and in depth interview;
$24,860pa; up to three years.

Postgraduate Scholarship (Masters) in Hydrogeochemistry

A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably
qualified candidate with a good honours degree in science, agriculture
or land and water science to undertake research studies leading to a
Masters in Hydrogeochemistry; the project is to investigate groundwater
quality to identify the residence time and origins and mixing of the
groundwaters in the South West Sydney area in relation to dryland
salinity; $22,860pa; up to two years.

Overseas Scholarships

 

Australian Biological Resources Study (ABRS) Churchill Fellowship

Churchill Fellowships allow you to design your own research project,
travel the world and further your knowledge in your chosen field, before
returning to make a real contribution to Australian society; The Trust
was approached by the Australian Biological Resources Study to
facilitate the award of projects in taxonomic research, for an early
career researcher; 

Closing Date:  28 February 2011

 

Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme

The Hong Kong PhD Fellowship (HKPF) Scheme aims at attracting the best
and brightest students in the world to pursue their PhD programmes in
Hong Kong's institutions; those who are seeking admission as new full
time PhD students in UGC-funded institutions of Hong Kong should be
eligible to apply; approximately US$2,600 per month plus a travel
allowance of approximately US$1,300 per year; up to three years.
