Research Scholarships

 

Australian Postgraduate Award (Industry) on Advanced Structural Metallic
Materials

An exciting new scholarship opportunity funded by an ARC
Linkage-Projects grant is available to provide support for 3 years on a
full-time basis for a research project leading to a PhD; the project
aims to apply in-situ deformation transmission electron microscopy to
quantitatively investigate the mechanical behaviour of metallic
amorphous/crystalline composites; applicants should have an Honours 1 or
2A degree or a Masters by research degree; $27,222pa; up to three years.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Ocular Biometry Changes in Adolescents

A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably
qualified candidate to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in
ophthalmology; the project is to investigate the changes over time in
ocular biometric signs in children; applicants should hold an MBBS with
first class honours, and be planning to enter ophthalmology training;
applicants must be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents
or New Zealand citizens; $22,500pa; up to three years.

Bob and Nancy Edwards Scholarship

Applications are invited for the Bob and Nancy Edwards Scholarship for
commencement in 2010, Semester 2; the purpose of the funding is to
providing a scholarship in the fields of cancer and/or paediatrics;
$30,000pa; up to three years.

Future Water Leaders Award

The Future Water Leaders Award is designed to recognise young
researchers who have new results to communicate about a water-related
topic; the award will be presented at the 13TH International River
Symposium in Perth in October 2010 and provides the opportunity to
present a paper as part of the conference program.
