Research Scholarships
JM and ICM Roderick Postgraduate Scholarship
The School of Civil Engineering offers a scholarship for a highly
qualified student to undertake full-time research leading to a PhD in
Environmental Fluid Mechanics; the objective of this research project is
to assess the effect of micro-organisms on the floc fractal properties,
aggregation and breakup efficiencies, and the time evolution of the SPM
floc size and settling velocity distributions in nutrient controlled
conditions; applicants must hold a MSc degree or equivalent; applicants
can be local or international students and international student tuition
fees will be covered by the School; $22,500pa; up to three years.

Overseas Scholarships
Frank Knox Memorial Fellowships to Harvard University 2010
Frank Knox Fellowships are available to enable up to three (3) students
from Australia to undertake postgraduate study at Harvard University in
the US academic year 2010-2011; applicants must be Australian citizens,
normally resident in Australia; covers tuition fee and health insurance
fees plus a stipend of US $23,000 to cover a 10-month academic year; up
to two years.

Australia Korea Foundation (AKF) Scholarship Program 2010
The Australia Korea Foundation (AKF) has established an annual
scholarship program to strengthen Australia's engagement with the
Republic of Korea and Australia-Korea relations; supports a broad range
of projects that enhance contact and exchange between the two counties
and their peoples; aimed at those who are to undertake research,
professional development, business internships, or language and cultural
studies in the Republic of Korea.
