Research Scholarships 

 

Postgraduate Scholarship in Adherence to Novel Interventions and Treatments

A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for an enthusiastic candidate with a good honours degree in psychology or a related field to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in Psychological Medicine, Psychology or Medical Sciences; the project involves a randomised controlled trial of a novel internet intervention in mood disorders, cognition and cardiovascular disease; $22,500pa plus a $3,000pa top-up; up to three years. 

Closing Date:  7 December 2009

 

Postgraduate Scholarship in Stigma and Discrimination of Mental Disorders

A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for an enthusiastic candidate with a good honours degree in psychology or a related field to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in Psychological Medicine, Psychology or Medical Sciences; the project looks at stigma or discrimination experienced by people with mental disorder; $22,500pa plus a $3,000pa top-up; up to three years. 

Closing Date:  7 December 2009

 

JW and ICM Roderick Scholarship

A JW and ICM Roderick Scholarship is available for a suitably qualified student with an Honours degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or Science to undertake full time research leading to a PhD degree on the subject of studying and modelling the mechanical behaviour of hexagonal materials during complex loadings; applicants must have a good degree in engineering or science and an interest in materials science and engineering; International students can apply but the scholarship does not cover any tuition fees; separate tuition fee scholarships may be provided for international students from the School of Civil Engineering; $22,500pa; up to three years.

Overseas Scholarships

 

Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme

The Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme aims to attract the best and brightest students in the world to pursue their PhD programmes in Hong Kong's institutions; new PhD students can apply; provides a monthly stipend of HK$20,000; up to three years. 

Closing Date:  1 December 2009 

 

The Charlie Perkins Scholarships

Two new annual scholarships will allow talented Indigenous Australians to study at the University of Oxford; the scholarships are particularly directed towards Indigenous Australians who have the potential to become leaders in their field of study and in their communities; valued between £33,000 and £45,000pa; up to three years.
