Research Scholarships

Thyroid Cancer Postgraduate Research Scholarship

A scholarship is being offered to a student who undertakes a higher
degree by research in the area of thyroid cancer within the Kolling
Institute; applicants must be accepted into a PhD in the Faculty of
Medicine and the University of Sydney; applicants should have an Honours
Class 1 or 2A degree or an MBBS or equivalent; applicants must be
Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents, or New Zealand
citizens; $20,427pa; up to three years. 

Closing Date:  31 July 2009

 

Postgraduate Scholarship in Chinese Film and Media Studies

A scholarship is available for a full-time Masters candidate who is
undertaking research in a topic pertaining to Chinese Film and Media
Studies; applicants must have an Honours 1 in a relevant area;
international students are welcome to apply, however tuition fees
payable by international students are not covered; $20,427 pa; one year
only.  

Closing Date:  30 September 2009

 

Australian Postgraduate Award (Industry) in Organic Synthesis

Applications are invited for a PhD position in synthetic organic
chemistry; the project centres on the design and execution of an
inexpensive, enantioselective synthesis of the important antiparasitic
drug, praziquantel; applicants must be Australian citizens, Australian
permanent residents or New Zealand citizens; applicants must have an
Honours 1 or 2A degree in Chemistry; $26,140 pa; up to three years.
