Postgraduate Scholarship in Protein Structure and Function

A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably
qualified candidate with a good honours degree in science to undertake
research studies leading to a PhD in protein structure and function; the
project aims to understand structural and functional aspects of proteins
involved in gene regulation; $20,427; up to three years.

Short-Term PhD Scholarship in Finance

A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably
qualified candidate with first class honours in finance to undertake
research studies leading to a PhD in finance; the project aims to
explore alternative measures of liquidity and integrity and the
association between these variables; applicants may be Australian
citizens or international students however, the scholarship will not
cover any tuition fees payable by international students; $30,000 pa
(pro rata); to 31 December 2009 only, no extension.

GlaxoSmithKline Australia Post Graduate Support Grants

GlaxoSmithKline is offering postgraduate support grants to PhD or Post
Doctorate students in the field of human health; the research work must
be mainly carried out in Australia and must not involve the
administration of approved or unapproved medicines to human subjects;
$25,000 over a two year period.

Closing Date:  21 August 2009

Marten Bequest Travelling Scholarship

The Marten Bequest Travelling Scholarships provide support for young
Australians in a variety of categories to help them further their
cultural education and achieve their dreams; 2010 scholarships will be
offered in acting, instrumental music, painting, poetry, prose and
singing; for study in Australia or overseas.

Closing Date:  30 October 2009
