Postgraduate Scholarship in Agriculture

A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably
qualified candidate with a good honours degree in science or related
field to undertake research studies leading to a PhD; the project will
investigate soil respiration; $25,000pa; up to three years.

Closing Date:  25 February 2009

 

Australian Postgraduate Award (Industry) in Polymers for Medical Device
Engineering

Two PhD scholarships are available in developing bonding technologies
for polymers and will focus on successful commercial outcomes for
industry; one project is in laser and plasma projections; the other
project is in physics and chemistry; applicants must have Honours 1 or
equivalent; applicants must be Australian or New Zealand citizens or
Australian permanent residents; $25,627pa; up to three years.

Postgraduate Scholarship in the Welfare Impacts of Land Titling in Laos 

Two scholarships are available, one for a Masters and one for a PhD to
investigate the welfare impacts of land titling in the specific case of
Lao PDR; applicants must have completed an Honours degree ( 1 or 2/1) or
equivalent Masters in Agricultural Economics, Resource Economics or
Economics/Econometrics; applicants must be Australian citizens or
permanent residents and willing to do fieldwork in Lao PDR; for
commencement in semester 1, 2009; $26,140pa; up to two years.

Rio Tinto Native Title Representative Bodies 2009 Scholarships

Rio Tinto is offering two scholarships to lawyers currently working or
interested in working at Native Title Representative Bodies (NTRBs) or
Native Title Service Providers (NTSPs); successful applicants will
undertake a one-year Master of Laws (LLM) at the University of Dundee
commencing in September 2009; applicants must be Australian citizens or
permanent residents and normally reside in Australia; valued at
approximately A$55,000 and covers tuition fees, a living allowance for
12 months for a single person and airfare.
