Postgraduate Scholarship in Protein Structure and Function

A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably
qualified candidate with a good honours degree in science to undertake
research studies leading to a PhD in protein structure and function; the
broad aim of the project is to understand structural and functional
aspects of proteins involved in gene regulation; $20,427pa; up to three
years.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Youth Mental Health

A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably
qualified candidate with a good honours degree in biostatistics, public
health, psychology or related field to undertake research studies
leading to a PhD in Psychological Medicine.  The project is to evaluate
service use, disability and chronicity of mental ill health in young
adults and some international travel is anticipated; $24,000pa; up to
three years.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Biogenic and Chemical Corrosion of Inorganic
Sacrificial Coatings in Sour Media

This scholarship is funded by an ARC Linkage-Project grant and will
provide support for 3 years on a full-time basis for a research project
leading to a PhD; the project designed to carry out a comprehensive and
in-depth study of the protection mechanisms of sacrificial inorganic
coatings against concrete corrosion; applicants should have an Honours 1
degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry or Chemical
Engineering; $27,000pa; up to three years.

Other Scholarships

 

Wildlife Preservation Society of Australia University Student Grants
2009 

The WPSA University Research Grants are scholarships offered to honours
or postgraduate students at Australian universities. Each year, ten
Initial Grants of $1,000 are awarded. Commencing in 2009, previous
recipients of the Initial Grants will be eligible to apply for a $5,000
Centenary Grant (follow-up grant).
