Australian Postgraduate Award (Industry) on Optimal Management of
Corrosion and Biodegradation of Polymer Coatings in Sour Media.

This scholarship is funded by an ARC Linkage-Project grant and will
provide support for 3 years on a full-time basis for a research project
leading to a PhD; the project designed to carry out a comprehensive and
in-depth study of the of the chemical and microbiological stability of
polymeric and inorganic linings in the gas phase of sewer systems;
applicants should have an Honours 1 degree in Materials Science,
Chemistry, Biochemistry or Chemical Engineering; applicants must be
Australian citizens or permanent residents or New Zealand citizens;
$26,140pa; up to three years.

Australian Postgraduate Award (Industry) in Metal Rolling Mechanics

A scholarship funded by an ARC Linkage-Project grant is available on a
full-time basis for a research project leading to a PhD at the
University of Sydney, School of Aerospace, Mechanical and Mechatronic
Engineering; applicants should have an Honours 1 or 2A degree in
Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant discipline; the objective of the
research project is to investigate the mechanics of the mixed
lubrication in metal rolling; applicants must be citizens or permanent
residents of Australia or citizens of New Zealand; $26,140pa; up to
three years.

Australian Postgraduate Award (Industry) in Health Informatics Research

An exciting opportunity exists for two PhD candidates to work in a new
area of health informatics research; two scholarships are being offered,
one in technology-supported work innovation in emergency departments,
and one in the impact of an electronic medical record system on patient
care and clinicians' work practices in an ambulatory setting
(rheumatology outpatient department); applicants should have an Honours
1 or 2A or equivalent; applicants must be Australian citizens,
Australian permanent residents or New Zealand citizens; $26,669pa; up to
three years.
