Research Scholarships 

 

Postgraduate Research Award on Genetics of Rust Resistance in Barley

A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably
qualified candidate with a good honours degree in science or agriculture
to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in plant genetics and
pathology; $25,000pa; available from November 2008 to July 2010; open to
Australian citizens.

Scholarship in Bone Biology

A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably
qualified candidate with an Honours 1 or 2A degree or equivalent, to
undertake research studies leading to a PhD; $25,365 for up to three
years; open to Australian citizens, permanent residents or New Zealand
citizens.

Information Systems PhD Scholarship in strategic technology-enabled
business innovation

The Business Information Systems Discipline within the Faculty of
Economics and Business seeks candidates to commence their full-time PhD
studies in strategic management of technology-enabled business
innovation in the Financial Services sector; applicants should have a
relevant Bachelor's degree with 1st class Honours or a Masters by
Research degree or equivalent; $25,118 pa for up to three years; open to
Australian citizens, permanent residents or New Zealand citizens.

Overseas Scholarships

 

Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP) UK

The Commonwealth Scholarships Commission have revised their recent
decision not to offer CSFP (UK) awards to students from developed
countries, and applications are now invited for the 2009 CSFP (UK)
awards for doctoral degrees of up to 3 years duration or 1 year research
on a split-site basis towards a PhD registered at a university in
Australia; awards are tenable in all subjects at selected UK
institutions of higher education from October 2009; applicants must be
Australian citizens.
