RESEARCH SCHOLARSHIPS: Coal Technology; Sydney Law School; CSIRO top-up;
CSIRO Flagships; Rotary Health Research. 

 

Postgraduate Scholarship in Clean Coal Technologies

A full-time postgraduate scholarship funded by Delta Electricity is
available for a suitably qualified candidate with a good honours degree
in engineering to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in
Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering; $30,000 per annum (tax exempt);
up to 3 years; international students may apply however tuition fees are
not covered.

Faculty of Law Scholarships 2009

The Faculty of Law at the University of Sydney will offer a range of
scholarships to outstanding scholars who wish to pursue postgraduate
study in law; the John O'Brien Memorial Research Scholarship in Criminal
Law and Criminology at the APA rate for up to three years; the Ross
Waite Parsons Scholarship to encourage innovative legal research at the
APA rate for up to 2 years; the Cooke, Cooke, Coghlan, Godfrey and
Littlejohn Scholarship for study in higher degrees in law at Sydney Law
School at the APA rate or overseas for up to one year; the Longworth
Scholarship for a law student who otherwise would not be able to afford
a full-time commitment for up to one year valued at $14,400 pa; the Reca
Stone Scholarship in Legal Theory for up to one year valued at $9,000
pa.

CSIRO PhD Top- Up Scholarship 2009  

CSIRO top-up scholarships are available to those with material science
and engineering background; for students who possess or who may receive
an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) or equivalent University
Postgraduate Award in Semester 1, 2009; $7,000 pa for three years;
Australian citizens or permanent residents; international students may
apply in fields in which there is a national skills shortage.

CSIRO Flagship Postgraduate Scholarships  

CSIRO offers full and top-up three year Postgraduate Scholarships to
doctoral students; students at CSIRO are co-supervised by a university,
Australian citizens or permanent residents; international students may
apply.

Australian Rotary Health Research Fund - Funding Partner PhD
Scholarships

Applications for a number of Funding Partner PhD Scholarships are being
called for by the Australian Rotary Health Research Fund; a range of
health areas including Bowel Cancer (2 Scholarships), Heart Disease,
Rehabilitation of Spinal Injury, Youth Suicide, Diabetes Research,
Parkinson's Disease (2 Scholarships), Kidney Disease, Neuro-Degenerative
Disease (particularly Alzheimers), Multiple Sclerosis, Brain Tumours;
$25,000pa for up to 3 years; must be Australian citizens or Australian
Permanent Residents; must be about to commence a PhD, or be in the first
or second years of a PhD; applicants must get agreement from their
department to co-fund the scholarship.
