Research Scholarships

 

Postgraduate Scholarship in Muscle Contracture Research

For a suitably qualified candidate with qualifications in physiotherapy
leading to a Masters or PhD; the project is to investigate mechanical
properties of human muscles and tendons in vivo, changes in muscle and
tendon properties with contracture, and effects of interventions on
muscle and tendon properties; $22,622 pa; up to 2 years for Masters or
up to 3 years for PhD; applicants must be Australian citizens,
Australian permanent residents or NZ citizens.

PhD Scholarship in Photobiology

For a suitably qualified candidate to undertake a PhD entitled
"Melanocytes inhibit UV-induced p53 mutations in human skin"; applicants
should have a Masters degree with honors in an immunology discipline
from an Australian University (or equivalent); applicants must be
Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents, or NZ citizens;
$20,007 pa; up to 3 years,

Postgraduate Scholarship in Human Nutrition

For a suitably qualified candidate with a Master of Nutrition and
Dietetics degree to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in Human
Nutrition; the project is to investigate the effect of different dietary
strategies in the management of diabetes during pregnancy; $20,007 pa;
up to 3 years; applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of
Australia.
