Research Scholarships

 

Postgraduate Scholarship in Photobiology

For a suitably qualified candidate in Science or Veterinary Science to
undertake research studies leading to PhD in Photobiology; the project
is to examine the influence of the steroid hormone oestrogen on the
immune response to ultraviolet radiation, and the regulatory effects of
this pathway in controlling skin cancer development; $15,000 pa for
2008; may be renewed for up to a further 2 years if funds are available.

Australian Postgraduate Award (Industry): Engineering Delivery Device
and novel formulation for COPD and CF

For a research project leading to a PhD; the objective of the research
is to engineer a delivery device and develop a novel formulation for
chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and cystic fibrosis; applicants
should have an H1 or a 2A degree in Pharmacy; applicants must be
Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or NZ citizens;
$25,627 pa; up to 3 years.

Overseas Scholarships

 

Sir Robert Menzies Memorial Scholarship in Engineering

Tenable in the United Kingdom commencing October, 2008; the scholarship
includes return fares and substantial emoluments which are not subject
to United Kingdom income tax.; up to 1, 2 or 3 academic years.
