Australian Postgraduate Award (Industry) in Polymer Nanoparticles for
Industrial Applications
A full-time Australian Postgraduate Award (Industry) is available for a
research project leading to a PhD; applicants should have an Honours 1
or 2A degree in science or engineering; the project is to investigate
synthesis and behaviour of complex nanoparticle systems for industrial
use and to develop guidelines for practical application; applicants must
be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or New Zealand
citizens; $25,627 pa for up to three years.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Polymer Science and Engineering
A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for suitably qualified
candidate leading to a PhD or MER IN Chemical Engineering; applicants
should have a good honours degree in science or engineering; the project
is to investigate the synthesis and behaviour of complex polymeric
nanoparticle systems; $21,000pa with additional supplementation; for up
to two years (MER) or three years (PhD).

Postgraduate Scholarships on Crystallization in Drying
One or two full-time postgraduate scholarships are available for
suitably qualified candidates with good honours degrees in engineering
to undertake research studies leading to a Masters (and possible
extension to a PhD) in chemical and biomolecular engineering; The
project is to improve the fundamental understanding of the spray-drying
process and crystallization of solids; $20,427pa; up to three years;
Applicants must be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents
or New Zealand citizens

2009 CTC PhD Scholarships Program
The NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre is offering A PhD scholarship to
conduct research in Oncology titled 'Estimating and discussing life
expectancy in advanced cancer'; the aim of the project is to help
oncologists better estimate and communicate life expectancy in advanced
cancer, determination of the accuracy of doctors' estimates based on
data from recent randomized trials, and the development of phrases and
tools to help discuss prognosis; this scholarship can be used to
supplement an external scholarship or grant funding received for a
living allowance; $30,378pa; up to $44,942pa for combined APA and CTC
top-up holders; up to three years.

Other Scholarships
Endeavour Research and Indigenous Research Fellowships
Endeavour Research Fellowships and the Endeavour Research Fellowships
for Indigenous Australians provide financial support for postgraduate
students and postdoctoral fellows from Australia to undertake short-term
research (4-6 months), in any field of study, in participating
Asia-Pacific countries; provide opportunities for award holders to
further develop their knowledge and skills.
