2008 University of Sydney Grants-in-Aid

Grants-in-Aid provide students with travel grants to support short-term
periods of research overseas, and most grants are open only to full-time
postgraduate research students. A reminder that the 2008 Grants-in-Aid
are now open for applications, and will close on 30th April 2008. Please

Research Scholarships

 

The Australian Centre for Field Robotics (ACFR) - Rio Tinto Centre for
Mine Automation Scholarships in Field Robotics

ACFR is seeking students interested in PhD research in the area of
autonomous systems, including data fusion, perception, control, learning
and systems to apply for a full time scholarship sponsored by Rio Tinto;
applicants should have a first class honours degree in
mechanical/mechatronics engineering, mining engineering, electrical
engineering, aeronautical/aerospace engineering, mathematics, mphysics,
computer science or related discipline or extensive appropriate
professional experience; $25,872pa; scholarship will be supplemented by
access to overseas travel grants and other allowances.

The ARC Centre of Excellence for Autonomous Systems (CAS) Scholarships
in Field Robotics  

ARC Centre of Excellence for Autonomous Systems (CAS) invites students
interested in postgraduate research in the area of autonomous systems,
including perception, control, learning and systems, applicants should
have a first class honours degree in aeronautical/aerospace engineering,
mechanical/mechatronics engineering, electrical engineering,
mathematics, physics, computer science or related discipline or
extensive appropriate professional experience, 25,872 pa, the
scholarship will be supplemented by access to overseas travel grants and
other allowances.

Overseas Scholarships

 

Italian Government Scholarships 2008/2009 for Australian Citizens

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is offering scholarships for the
2008/2009 academic year to Australian citizens, scholarships can be
allocated as LONG-TERM (one academic year, i.e. 6, 9 or 12 months) or as
SHORT-TERM (1, 2 or 3 months), the scholarship can be used to attend
Universities, Academies of Fine Arts and Conservatories of Music,
Restoration Schools, National Cinema School, Research Centres or
Laboratories, Libraries, Archives, Museums and other public
institutions.

National Heart Foundation Travel Grant

The National Heart Foundation offers Travel Grants to researchers
working in the area of cardiovascular disease or related areas, travel
grants are open to Australian citizens or permanent residents,
applicants must be based in Australia, priority categories can be found
on NHF website.
