Postgraduate Scholarship in Immunology

For a suitably qualified candidate with an undergraduate degree to
undertake cerebral malaria-related research studies leading to a PhD in
Pathology/Experimental Medicine; $20,007 pa; up to three years; local
and international applicants are welcome to apply, but the scholarship
does not cover any tuition fees payable by international students.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Structural Health Monitoring

For candidates who are studying the fundamental mechanisms and
algorithms in developing novel structural health monitoring techniques
for aircraft structures; leading to a PhD; $22,000 pa; for a period of
16 months, commencing on 1 May 2008.

ANSTO Postgraduate Scholarship in Materials Chemistry - Synthesis,
Structure and Dynamics of Solid-state Ionic Conductors

For a candidate with an Honours 1 or 2A degree in chemistry, physics, or
engineering or equivalent post graduate qualifications: with a strong
interest in materials, leading to the award of a PhD in chemistry;
$20,007 pa; concerns solid-state ionic conducting materials with
possible applications in fuel cells, lithium-ion batteries etc.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Computational Nano-Technology

For a suitably qualified candidate with a good honours degree in science
or engineering to undertake research studies leading to a PhD; this
project is to investigate the flow and lubrication problems at
nano-scales with applications in nano-technology; Applicants should have
a particular interest in the computational methods and molecular level
simulations with interest in developing new algorithms and working with
existing scientific codes; $25,000 pa; up to three years; international
students can apply, however the scholarship does not cover any tuition
fees payable by international students.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Power Electronics

For a suitably qualified candidate with a good honours degree in
engineering to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in power
electronics applications to power systems; the project is to investigate
new topologies of voltage-source converters and their control for modern
advanced power system transmission technologies; $20,000 pa; up to three
years; the scholarship is open to Australian citizens, Australian
permanent residents, New Zealand citizens or international students.
