Research:

 

John York Research Scholarship 

To support a PhD student; the broad aim of the project is to understand
mechanisms of inflammation and joint damage in inflammatory arthritis
and developing biomaterials for cartilage and bone regeneration; $20,000
pa; up to 3 years; applicants must be Australian citizens, Australian
permanent residents or NZ citizens.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Soft Tissue Scaffolds

A full-time postgraduate scholarship for a candidate with an honours
degree in biomedical engineering to undertake PhD studies in applied
biomedical engineering; the project is to investigate the physical and
biological properties of soft tissue scaffolds for use in skin and
cartilage engineering; $10,000 pa; available until March 2010;
applicants must be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents
or New Zealand citizens.

Postgraduate Clinical Fellowship- Andrology

A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available from the Andrology
Department, ANZAC Research Institute, for a medical candidate, who has
preferably obtained Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of
Physicians, to undertake clinical research studies leading to a Masters
of Philosophy at the University of Sydney; applicants must be citizens
or permanent residents of Australia or citizens of New Zealand; $15,000
pa; renewed for a further year.

W H and Elizabeth M Deane Pharmaceutical Fund PhD Scholarship

This scholarship is now available for a suitable candidate commencing
PhD in Pharmacy in Semester 2, 2008 to undertake research in the area of
direct pain relieving drugs; applicants should have an Honours 1 or
Research Masters degree; $20,007 pa for up to three years; applicants
must be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or New
Zealand citizens.

Social Network Visualization in Computer Supported Collaborative
Learning

A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably
qualified candidate with a good honours degree in science or engineering
to undertake research studies leading to a MER; the project is to
investigate the social networks produced when people collaborate while
engaged in collaborative writing project; $24,650pa; applicants must be
Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or New Zealand
citizens.

Lord Frederick Cavendish Postgraduate Studentship

Two or more studentships of a value between 1000 and 1500 pounds a year;
open to women accepted to undertake postgraduate research in any subject
at the University of Cambridge; tenable for up to three years,
conditional to satisfactory academic progress.

Macquarie Group Stanford Fellowship

The Macquarie Group of Companies offers a Stanford Graduate School of
Business Fellowship in the amount of US$50,000; this grant is to support
part of the costs of conducting research or undertaking MBA, PhD or
post-doctoral studies in business at Stanford.
