Research Scholarships

 

Postgraduate Scholarship in Chemical Spectroscopy

For a suitably qualified candidate with an Hons degree in science to
undertake research studies leading to a PhD in chemistry; the project is
to carry out a study of the phosphorescence of a series of polycyclic
aromatic hydrocarbon molecules; $15,000 pa; up to 1 year with a possible
extension; applicants must be Australian citizens or Australian
permanent residents.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Family, Community and Disability Studies

2 scholarships are available for applicants with an H1 or 2A degree or
Masters by Research in education, occupational therapy, social science
or a related discipline; the project involves research into care
succession planning and the reciprocity of relationships between people
with disabilities, their families and their social networks; $25,118 pa;
up to 3 years; the scholarship does not cover any tuition fees payable
by international students; successful applicants will be expected to
commence the PhD in Semester 2, 2007.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Respiratory Cell Biology

For a suitably qualified candidate with a good hons degree in science /
biomedical science or medicine to undertake research studies leading to
a PhD; the project is to investigate the role of angiogenesis in asthma,
applicants must be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident
or NZ citizen; $20,000 pa; up to 3 years.

Other Scholarships

 

The International Education Association Inc (ISANA) Bursaries 2007

For students undertaking research at the postgraduate level in a
university in Australia or New Zealand, into areas relating to the
education, support and well-being of international students studying in
these countries; $500 - $1,500 plus a conference registration fee
waiver, to allow the recipients to present their papers and receive
their awards.
