Research Scholarships

 

Roly Dunlop Scholarship for Neurological Research

For a suitably qualified candidate who has been accepted for full-time
study in a PhD within the Faculty of Medicine; for neurological research
embracing neurological impairment and associated conditions such as
epilepsy and rehabilitation; $20,000 pa.

The Medical Foundation Postgraduate Scholarship

For full-time study in a PhD within the Faculty of Medicine, including
any of the following areas:  anaesthesia, anatomy and histology,
clinical ophthalmology and eye health, experimental medicine, general
practice, infectious diseases and immunology, medical genetics,
medicine, molecular and microbial biosciences, obstetrics and
gynaecology, paediatrics and child health, pathology, pharmacology,
physiology, psychological medicine, public health, rural health, and
surgery; applicants must have completed the equivalent of an Australian
Bachelor degree and demonstrate evidence of outstanding research ability
and experience in a relevant field; applicants must be Australian
citizens or permanent residents, or citizens of New Zealand; $30,000 pa.

CRC for Asthma and Airways PhD Scholarship Program 2007

Funds have been allocated to provide financial assistance, in the form
of supplementary scholarships to PhD students who are working on CRC
projects; up to $7,500 pa including an allocation of $2,500 for
conference and travel assistance.

Other Scholarships

 

ACSANZ Postgraduate Travel Award

Up to 5 grants are available for postgraduate students wishing to
undertake a short research trip to Canada; $3,000 for travel to and
within Canada; applicants must be enrolled in a masters or doctoral
degree at an Australian or New Zealand university; the proposed research
must be in Canadian Studies and relevant to the applicant's
thesis/dissertation topic; awards are not made to enable student to
pursue courses of study at a Canadian university nor for the sole
purpose of attending a conference or seminar or to present a paper.
