Research Scholarships

 

The Blackshaw Scholarship Residency Program in Ruminant Health and
Production

For a postgraduate veterinary student undertaking clinical training in
Ruminant Health and Production at the University Veterinary Centre
Camden; the program will provide clinical and research training in farm
animal health and production with particular emphasis on the cattle
industry; the student will be expected to undertake a Master of
Veterinary Clinical Studies and progress towards achieving an advanced
clinical qualification; $35,000 pa plus an annual grant of $5,000 pa; up
to 2 years; applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of
Australia.

NHMRC Palliative Care Scholarships

The Palliative Care Research Program is a joint initiative between the
National Health and Medical Research Council and the Department of
Health and Ageing; the purpose is to provide opportunities for
Australian researchers to undertake research that is both of major
importance in the field of Palliative Care and of benefit to Australian
health; Training Awards will provide a vehicle for training in research
in Australia to enable Award holders to work on palliative care research
projects with nominated advisers; the Awards will be offered to a
limited number of persons of outstanding ability who wish to make
research a significant component of their career.

Grape and Wine Research and Development Corporation PhD Scholarship
Program 

Established to help increase the number of post graduate students in the
fields of wine and viticultural research in Australia; approximately 6
awards will be offered for 2007; scholarships will be awarded on the
basis of academic excellence, the quality of the applicant's curriculum
vitae and the likelihood of the applicant's future involvement in the
wine industry; may be awarded as full or supplementary scholarships;
full scholarships will be $25,000 pa for up to 3 years; supplementary
scholarships will be awarded to bring the total scholarship amount up to
industry standard which is assumed at $25,000 pa.

National Heart Foundation Travel Grant

The National Heart Foundation offers Travel Grants to researchers
working in the area of cardiovascular disease or related areas; travel
grants are open to Australian citizens or permanent residents; for
travel in January, February and March 2007; priority categories can be
found on NHF website.
