Research Scholarships

 

Cancer Institute NSW Research Scholar Awards

Open to outstanding students enrolled in a higher degree who have the
potential to develop highly significant careers in cancer research;
applicants should have secured, or be seek a scholarship from NHMRC or
their University of enrolment or another source; these Awards provide
additional funding for the scholar's research project and for travel
purposes, $25,000 pa; up to 3 years; to commence January 2007.

CCRE Postgraduate Clinical Research Scholarship

Open to medical graduates or graduates with science or other
health-related degrees who are interested in doing post-graduate studies
in clinical respiratory or sleep medicine; preference will be given to
PhD students; the award will be issued on the terms and conditions of
the NHMRC post-graduate research scholarship and the stipend will be
equivalent.

Overseas Scholarships

 

The British Chevening Scholarships

Offers outstanding graduates and young professionals the opportunity to
study at UK universities; awards are made for 1 year's formal study for
a postgraduate qualification or for a shorter period of not less than
three months to pursue private study or research at a university or
similar institution in Britain; the scholarship includes a return
economy airfare to the UK from any Australian city, all compulsory
academic fees, monthly stipend, book allowance, and thesis allowance.

Other Scholarships

 

Australian Herpes Management Forum Scholarship 2006

A scholarship of $5,000 is available for attendance at a national or
international Conference where the applicant is presenting a paper on
laboratory, clinical or public health research related to Herpes
Viruses.
