Faculty of Economics and Business PhD Scholarships

Up to 5 scholarships for candidates to engage in full-time PhD studies
for commencement in Semester 2, 2005; applicants must have Hon 1 or
equivalent; $25,000 pa, 3yrs; applicants must not be current holders of
any other Scholarship but a limited number of 'top-up' scholarships
(e.g. top-up to APAs) may be offered.

The ARC Centre of Excellence for Autonomous Systems (CAS) Scholarships
in Field Robotics

Available for PhD research in the area of autonomous systems, including
perception, control, learning and systems; applicants should have a 1st
class Hons degree in aeronautical/aerospace engineering,
mechanical/mechatronics engineering, electrical engineering,
mathematics, physics, computer science or related discipline; $24,388
p.a. + overseas travel grants and other allowances.

Australian Postgraduate Award (Industry) on Market Integrity and
Liquidity

A PhD scholarship is available to examine market integrity on the
Australian Stock Exchange and to assess its impact on liquidity;
applicants should have a Hons 1 or 2A degree in Finance; $23,886 pa; 3
years; applicants must be Australian citizens, Australian permanent
residents or NZ citizens.

Research Scholarship in Exercise and Ageing

A scholarship is available for PhD or Masters candidates to conduct a
research study on the health outcomes of progressive resistance training
in older adults with type 2 diabetes; $24,388 pa; up to 2 years
(Masters), 3 years (PhD); commencing Semester 2, 05; applicants must be
citizens or permanent residents of Australia.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Baudin Research Project, Department of
French Studies 

Available for a full-time PhD research project in Baudin Research held
either at the University of Sydney or the University of Adelaide

Scholarship in Ophthalmopathy Associated with Graves' Disease

Open to a full-time PhD candidate to carry out a basic science research
project in the area of the ophthalmopathy (eye changes) associated with
Graves' disease; applicants with BSc (Hons) background preferred but MB
BS, FRACP and interest in endocrinology are also acceptable; $25,000 pa;
up to 3 years; applicants must be permanent residents or citizens of
Australia.
