Australian Postgraduate Award (Industry) on Application Frameworks for
Collaborative Learning 

Available for a full-time research project leading to a PhD degree; the
project is to explore novel interdisciplinary approaches to reduce the
cost and improve the quality of online collaborative learning
activities; applicants should have an Hons 1 or 2A degree in engineering
or equivalent accreditation; $24,650 pa; 3 years; applicants must be
Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or NZ citizens.

Kidney Health Australia Biomedical Research Scholarships

Available for full-time research degrees of PhD or MD and Masters by
research, by undertaking research into the causes, prevention and
treatment of disorders of the kidneys and urinary tract; from $25,000 to
$31,000, up to 2 years for a Masters by Research, 3 years for a PhD
degree (to be renewed annually); applicants must have graduated, or
expect to graduate in the current academic year; preference will be
given to Australian applicants enrolled in Australian universities.

National Archives 2006 Summer Scholarships 

Open to senior undergraduates and 1st year Masters or PhD students
studying in Australia;  preference will be given to students with the
achievement in subjects that involve 20th century Australian history,
politics, foreign relations, social studies, or similar; $300/wk +
travel costs; 6 weeks (Jan-Feb 2006), tenable at the National Archives
Canberra Office; applicants must be Australian residents.
