Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP) UK 

ELIGIBILITY CORRECTION

It is no longer a requirement that applicants for the CSFP UK must have
graduated from a first degree or Masters in the last 10 years, ie graduates
of more than 10 years standing may apply.

Available for a  full-time research project leading to a PhD in grinding
technology in the School of Aerospace, Mechanical and Mechatronic
Engineering; the project is to develop the cooling theories and techniques
of a segmented grinding wheel system; applicants should have a good honours
degree in science or engineering , be citizens or permanent residents of
Australia; $18,484 pa; 6 months.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Coastal Engineering 

Available for a full-time research project leading to a PhD in the Dept of
Civil Engineering; the project is to investigate the behaviour of
wave-induced transport and transformation of pollutants in coastal
sediments; applicants must have an honours degree in applied science,
mathematics, ocean engineering or fluids engineering. $23,886 pa, 3yrs.

ICESSM Postgraduate Scholarships in Sports Science and Sports Management

Up to 6 PhD or Masters scholarships offered by the International Centre of
Excellence in Sports Science and Management in a wide range of Sports
Science and Sports Management research areas; study at The University of
Sydney or The University of Technology, Sydney; applicants should have a
relevant degree; open to Australian and international students; $23,886 pa;
3 years for PhD, 2 yrs for Masters.

Land and Water Australia Postgraduate Scholarships 2005

Four postgraduate research scholarships are offered by LWA; the purpose of
the scholarships is  to improve the understanding and ability to sustainably
use and manage Australia's unique endowment of natural resources; applicants
must be citizens or permanent residents of Australia; $23,000 pa plus $5,000
for operating expenses; 3yrs for Phd,  2yrs for Masters.

The John Carter Brown Library Research Fellowship

The John Carter Brown Library at Brown University, will award approximately
25 Research Fellowships; reserved exclusively for scholars whose work is
centered on the colonial history of the Americas, North and South, including
all aspects of the European, African, and Native American involvement. 

Short-Term Fellowships are available for periods of two to four months
during 1 June 05 to 30 June 06, $1,400 per month and are open to Americans
and foreign nationals who are engaged in pre- or post-doctoral, or
independent, research.
