Research Scholarship for a Dietitian in Obesity and Early Liver Disease 

Available for a researcher with qualifications in nutrition and dietetics;
the successful applicant will enrol in a MMed degree, recent graduates are
encouraged to apply; the focus will be on issues such as obesity/overweight
and activity levels; $24,309 pa; 12 months initially with the possibility of
an extension; applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of
Australia.

Walter E Schroeder PhD Scholarship in Maternal Fetal Medicine

Open to candidate with a good Hons degree in science to undertake research
studies leading to a PhD in Medicine; the project is to investigate the
transcriptional control of Th1/Th2 cytokine production in human pregnancy;
$28,014 pa; up to 3 years; applicants must be citizens or permanent
residents of Australia.

The School of Business is offering the following scholarships to candidates
enrolling in the full-time PhD program in 2005:

up to 6 PhD Scholarships in Business - in any field of business

up to 5 PhD Scholarships in Accounting, Business Law and Business
Information Systems 

up to 2 PhD Scholarships in Organisational Studies 

up to 4 PhD Scholarships in Marketing 

up to 4 PhD Scholarships in Finance 

$25,000 pa; up to 3 years; the School may consider awarding top-up
scholarships to APA/UPA holders

Australian Stuttering Research Centre (ASRC) Postgraduate Research
Scholarship 

Open to PhD candidates for the following projects at ASRC:

-           Service Delivery Models for Early Stuttering Intervention

-           Trial of a Telehealth Treatment for Chronic Stuttering

-           The  relationship between respiration and stuttering 

Applicants should have an Hons degree in relevant areas, or other suitable
qualifications to be eligible to enrol in a PhD; $25,000 pa; flexible
funding for living expenses and conference travel; up to 3 years.

2005 Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority Science for Management Awards

Available to  students working towards a Doctorate or Masters degree;
studies may involve any aspect of the physical, biological or social,
cultural and economic environments of the Great Barrier Reef; applicants
should already be supported by their administering institution for basic
expenses and have access to general equipment, library, laboratory and
computing facilities for the research;$1000 - $2000.
