Fellowship Plan  (CSFP) Malaysia

Postgraduate Scholarship in Physiology
Open to candidate to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in 
Physiology in the Laboratory of Exocrine Physiology and Biophysics in the 
Physiology Department at USYD; projects include the application of 
patch-clamp techniques to study the regulation of sodium channels by 
ubiquitin protein ligases and the use of molecular techniques to 
investigate the mechanism of ATP release from epithelia; applicants should 
have, or expect to have by end of the year, a good honours degree in 
Physiology, Biochemistry or a related discipline; $20,203 pa; + possibility 
of additional funding for conference travel; also open to overseas 
applicants, however, applicants should be aware that the scholarship does 
not include overseas student fees and charges.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Medicine: Quality of Life in children with 
cerebral palsy.
Open to candidate with a medical degree leading to a PhD in medicine; the 
project is to develop a quality of life instrument in children with 
cerebral palsy, with particular attention to feeding difficulties; 
applicants should have a strong interest in child health, systematic 
reviews, and qualitative research, should also be registered as a medical 
practitioner and have completed advanced training in paediatrics; 
preference will be given to applicants currently conducting research in the 
area; $28,432 pa (stipend + allowances); up to 3 years.

Robert Gordon Menzies Scholarship to Harvard
Available for postgraduate study at Harvard University in the 04/05 
academic year; candidates must be Honours graduates of an Australian 
university; have Australian citizenship or be eligible for it; normally 
reside in Australia and intend either to return after the studies at 
Harvard or to represent Australia overseas; candidates must apply for 
admission to a Harvard graduate school and have not previously undertaken a 
postgraduate degree course in the US; up to US$50,000.

Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan  (CSFP) Malaysia
2 scholarships are available for Australian students who aim to pursue 
post-graduate courses in Malaysian Universities; preference will be given 
to academically well qualified applicants, whose field of study matches 
opportunities in Malaysian universities and the development priorities of 
the nominating country; applicants must have a min standard of upper 2nd 
class honours and normally have completed a relevant qualification within 5 
years preceding the application.
