Open to candidate to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in 
Physiology/Biochemistry; applicants should have a good honours degree (or 
equivalent) in Physiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or a related 
discipline; $20,500 pa and may be renewed for up to 3 years.

Australian Postgraduate Award (Industry) on Breaking the Juvenile Crime 
Cycle: Rehabilitating High Risk Young Offenders
Open to candidate to undertake research studies leading to a PhD, 
applicants should have an Honours 1 or 2A degree or equivalent in an 
appropriate discipline; experience working in the public health area is 
essential; experience of survey design and implementation and knowledge of 
univariate and multivariate statistical methods would be an advantage; 
excellent oral and written communication skills, an excellent undergraduate 
record of achievement, and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary 
team; 3 years @$23,294 in 2003; applicants must be Australian citizens or 
permanent residents who have lived continuously in Australia for the past 
12 months.

PhD; applicants should have an Honours 1 or 2A degree in Veterinary, Animal 
or a related Science; experience/background in equine management, cell 
biology and semen analytical and cryopreservation techniques would be an 
advantage; 3 years @ 23,294; applicants must be Australian citizens or

The Constantine Aspromourgos Memorial Scholarship for Greek Studies
Open graduates of the University of Queensland of not more than five years 
standing; applicants must be undertaking a postgraduate program which 
pertain to at least one area of Greek studies; $4,500 for 1 year; 
applicants must be undertaking the program as a student of another 
university acceptable to the committee or the University of Queensland 
(provided that some part of the program involves studies at another 
university).

Stuart Leslie Bird Research Award
Open to postgraduate students in Australia; applications unrelated to 
native Australian birds are not eligible; preference is given to supporting 
researchers at an early stage of their research program; grants of 
$500-$3000 will be awarded for research and up to $500 for conferences; 
renewable for 2-3 years.
