Postgraduate Scholarship in Elamite Archaeology
Open to candidate with a B.A. degree concentrating on Iranian Archaeology
to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in Elamite Archaeology; the
project aims to investigate the settlement patterns of eastern Susiana,
Khuzestan Province, southwestern Iran, from the 3rd to the 1st millennium
B.C; field experience in Iran is essential; 3 years @$18,000 pa.

Postgraduate Scholarship in the Historical Geography of Southwestern Iran
Open to candidate with a B.A. degree concentrating on Iranian Archaeology
to undertake research studies leading to a PhD on the historical geography
of southwestern Iran; the project aims to investigate the toponyms
Khuzestan and Fars provinces from the 3rd millennium B.C. to the first
centuries A.D; field experience in Iran is essential; 3 years @ $18,000 pa.

Forest and Wood Products R&D Corporation Postgraduate Scholarship
Open to candidates to undertake research higher degrees (MSc, PhD) in the
areas of strategic interest to the Australian Forest and Wood Products
Industries; up to $25,000 pa + research grant of $5,000 pa; tenable for 3
years at Australian Universities; applicants must be permanent resident or
citizen of Australia.

Epilepsy Research Scholarships 2003
2 scholarships offering to medical, nursing and allied health professional
who have experience in the care of people with epilepsy and/or are working
in epilepsy research at universities, colleges or teaching hospitals in
Australia; research experience is essential; applicants planning to proceed
to postgraduate studies (MA, MSc, PhD, MD) in 2003 to undertake epilepsy
research are encouraged to apply; $35,000 each + up to $2,500 travel and
conference expenses.

June Opie Fellowship
Open to students of high academic achievement who have a severe disability;
the award is made to enable the recipient to secure such assistance, by
travel, by the preparation of computer software or by other means as will
facilitate effective study and preparation for the future; NZ$12,000;
applicants must be a student with disability and must be permanent
residents or citizen of Australia, Canada or New Zealand.
