Category: Research

Loxton Postgraduate Research Scholarship
Open to applicants with an honours degree (at least Second Class, Division 
1) in Science or Engineering undertaking postgraduate studies leading to a 
PhD in Chemical Engineering; open to both local and international students, 
provided the latter have made prior arrangements to cover their fees; 
please note that the current conditions of the Loxton bequest restrict the 
scholarships to males only; tenable for up to three and a half years; 
$17,609pa in 2002.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Information Technologies
Open to candidates who are already enrolled in a PhD within the School of 
Information Technologies and within 12 months of completion; valued at $22, 
771 per annum (tax exempt) for one year only and no extension will be 
possible; applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of Australia.

Dr Joan Clarke Research Scholarship  School of Chemistry
Open to a PhD candidate in the School of Chemistry whose research topic is 
mainly in the area of inorganic chemistry to undertake research in 
connection with topic at a leading university overseas; for a period of not 
less than six weeks; value of the scholarship will be determined on a 
case-by-case basis, but it is intended that it will be sufficient to cover 
the student's expenses for return travel and subsistence during a 
continuous residence of between six and twenty-six weeks; applicants must 
be citizens or permanent residents of Australia.
Closing dates: 30th June 2002, 30th September 2002, 6th January 2003, 31st 
March 2003.
