DBH Scholarship
Open to full-time postgraduate research candidates intending to undertake 
research at the University of Sydney on the subject of the social effects 
of alcoholism; primarily open to sociologists; $17,609 pa in 2002 (APA rate).

Association for Canadian Studies in Australia and New Zealand (ACSANZ) 
Postgraduate Travel Award
Open to postgraduate students for research into Canadian Studies; for a 
short research trip to Canada; A$2,800 for travel to and within Canada and

Canadian Studies Awards
ICCS Graduate Student Thesis/Dissertation Scholarship
Open to postgraduate students in the Social Sciences and the Humanities who 
are preparing a graduate thesis on Canada; C$3,500 to undertake thesis 
related research on Canada at a Canadian university for 4-6 weeks.

National Archives of Australia Summer Scholarships
Open to undergraduate students in years 3 and 4, students enrolled in an 
honours degree or a graduate diploma, and first year postgraduate students 
whose studies include a major in 20th century Australian history, politics, 
social studies, or similar subjects; to undertake research projects on a 
topic set by the Archives utilising the Archives' collection; must be 
Australian residents studying in Australia; travel costs, accommodation, 
meals and $300 per week for six weeks.
