EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE WG

Early-Career Members

Dear members of the IAU Executive Committee WG Early-Career Members,

To accommodate the remarkable level of interest and maximize opportunities for community participation, the abstract submission deadline for the IAU Early-Career Conference "Synergies between Observational and Theoretical Astronomy: Results, Challenges, and Future Prospects"<https://url.au.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/2--DCE8wmrtn0QE5wsZtGGi79IDL?domain=np5meuhbb.cc.rs6.net> (17–19 November 2026, online) has been extended by a week.

We invite remaining authors to take advantage of this additional time to submit<https://url.au.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/MHrLCGv0oyCqOVv5rt0ummiBwMR2?domain=np5meuhbb.cc.rs6.net> their work by 18 September.

PhD students and postdoctoral researchers within six years of obtaining their PhD are invited to submit abstracts for contributed talks and posters. Financial awards will be presented for the best contributions.

Organized by the IAU Executive Committee Working Group Early-Career Members, the meeting will showcase the scientific contributions of the next generation of astronomers while bringing together researchers from across all areas of astronomy and astrophysics to explore how observations and theory work together to advance our understanding of the Universe. Participation is free of charge and open to everyone.

We look forward to receiving your contributions and to your participation in the conference.

Best Regards,

Jaroslav Merc, PhD. (Event Chair)
