[ASA] Announcement: Gaia Dive Workshop, IfA Hawaii, Feb 1-5 2027

With this email we are excited to announce the Gaia Dive Workshop! Please feel free to forward this email to anyone who might be interested.

The workshop will be held at the Institute for Astronomy (IfA) of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa campus in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, from Feb 1-5, 2027.

The Gaia Dive aims to collaborate on projects related to Gaia DR4 data. It has a similar spirit as the Sprints but aims to go at a more relaxed pace. The plan is to be about 30 participants and to collaborate on a small set of projects defined before the meeting (and after the data release) over 1-2 preliminary zoom calls. There will be a mix of theoreticians and data-focused people, senior and junior researchers.
