[ASA] ASTRO 3D Fellowship and ongoing position at ICRAR/UWA

The Australian Research Council (ARC) Centre of Excellence for All Sky Astrophysics in 3 Dimensions (ASTRO 3D) is currently advertising a Senior Research Fellowship to be based at The University of Western Australia (UWA). UWA is a node of the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research (ICRAR), a joint venture with Curtin University.

The Fellowship is for four years at level C. Following that period, the position will be converted into an ongoing position funded by UWA as part of its commitment to ASTRO 3D. The ongoing component of the position (after the first 4 years) will entail research, teaching, supervision and service responsibilities.

The position is restricted to female applicants only and the research field needs to be aligned with the ASTRO 3D science program.

ASTRO 3D, headed by Prof Lisa Kewley (ANU), spans six Australian universities, three national infrastructure facilities, and seven international partner institutions and conducts world-leading observational and theoretical research focused on the main Centre scientific programs which include: EOR (MWA and theory); First Stars and Galaxies; Galaxy Formation and Evolution; ASKAP HI surveys; and the SAMI, HECTOR and GALAH optical surveys. Research at the UWA node of ASTRO 3D is mainly focused on ASKAP HI surveys, SAMI/HECTOR, cosmological simulations and data intensive science.
