This year’s Critical Antiquities Network public lecture will be delivered by
John Bellamy Foster
‘Breaking the Bonds of Fate: Epicurus and Marx.’
In this lecture, John will be presenting his new discoveries—which he is excitedly working up into a new book—regarding the relationship between Marx and Epicurus and how it concerns Marx’s ecology and contemporary environmental politics.
We will also be joined by two discussants:
David Konstan (Classics, New York University)
Anna Sturman (Political Economy, University of Sydney).
