[Usyd_Classics_Events] An announcement from The Classical Association of NSW

Dear Friends of Classics and Ancient History,

The Classical Association of New South Wales is proud to be sponsoring Glenn Most’s Ritchie Lecture and the reception that follows it next Tuesday, October 24 (details of the event here<https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/9PfJCyojxQT7Gp4oAhZ37PU?domain=eventbrite.com.au>). I’m also pleased to announce the CANSW will be holding a raffle for all new and renewing CANSW members. All new and renewing members will receive a CANSW tote bag but one lucky winner will receive four books (signed by the authors) and a ticket to the CANSW annual dinner on November 10 (to be held at the amazing Ahgora Greek restaurant in Glebe (Sydney), where there will also be a lecture by the young and brilliant ANU lecturer, Tom Geue). The four books in the prize are:

1.       The two-volume edition of Hesiod’s corpus, edited by Glenn Most, for the Loeb Classical Library (details here<https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/xSYHCzvkyVCGX7rqOIXed0e?domain=hup.harvard.edu>)

2.       Tom Geue’s monograph, Author Unknown: The Power of Anonymity in Ancient Rome <https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/n-ydCANpgjCZx8ROGH94dDl?domain=hup.harvard.edu> (Harvard 2019)

3.       My close collaborator Ben Brown’s monograph, The Mirror of Epic<https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/XtFLCBNqjlCDxynKzsjDR_2?domain=jstor.org> (APP, 2016)

As a member, you also become eligible be attend the other social and academic events we run throughout the year.
