Research Scholarships

 

Postgraduate Scholarship in Materials Science

A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably
qualified candidate to undertake research studies leading to an MPhil in
materials science; the project is to investigate the effect of severe
plastic deformation on the structure, deformation mechanism and
mechanical properties of bulk metallic glasses; applicants should have
some experiences of working in an electron microscopy laboratory;
$22,000pa; up to one year.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Alzheimer's Disease

A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably
qualified candidate to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in
Molecular Neurosciences; the project is to investigate the role of tau
and related proteins in C. elegans by generating transgenic strains and
analyzing the functionally; applicants should have a Masters degree in
Science and must be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents,
or New Zealand citizens;  $22,500pa; up to three years.
