PhD Scholarship in Nanotechnology 2011
A scholarship is available in the field of Nanotechnology; the objective
of the project is to synthesize novel carbon nanotube architectures;
applicants should have an interest in carbon nanotechnology; $23,000pa;
up to three years.

PhD Scholarship in Modelling Trophic Interactions in Food Webs
(Biological Sciences)
A scholarship in the Biological Sciences field is available; the project
is to model trophic interactions in food webs; applicants should have
particular skills in using geometric models of nutrition in animal
husbandry and statistical analysis of 3-D response surfaces; $26,140pa;
up to three years.

PhD Scholarships - Electroactive Biomaterials
CSIRO Materials Science and Engineering are seeking PhD students to work
on Electroactive Biomaterials projects; the goal will be to develop the
design principles for advanced materials which can bridge the gap
between conventional electronics and biological systems; $7,000pa as
Top-up or full scholarship in certain circumstances; up to three years.

PhD Scholarships - Adaptive and Responsive Advanced Materials
CSIRO Materials Science and Engineering are seeking PhD students to work
on Adaptive and Responsive Advanced Materials projects; the projects
will require the creation of novel adaptive and responsive advanced
materials that can respond to external or internal stimulus to adapt or
proactively change both their own structure or chemistry and the
external environment; $7,000pa as Top-up or full scholarship in certain
circumstances; up to three years.

Spinal Cord Injuries and SpinalCure Australia Scholarship
A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably
qualified candidate in the field of Spinal Cord Injuries to undertake
research studies leading to a PhD in Health Science; the project is to
investigate the physiological and psychosocial benefits of the Walk On
program, including functional improvements, altered general health,
improved quality of life and to identify any associated health economic
benefits; applicants should have a particular interest in exercise
rehabilitation after spinal cord injury and have an undergraduate degree
in exercise science, physiotherapy, medicine or equivalent educational
background; $30,000 to $35,000pa; up to 3 years.

2011 Wentworth Group Science Program Scholarship
These scholarships are to enable recipients to become active
contributors at the interface of good decision making and world class
science; not intended as direct support for thesis research or a
scholarship stipend; aimed at building capacity by mentoring and
supporting young natural resources scientists and resource economists to
develop their skills and understanding of public policy.
