Research Scholarships 

 

Postgraduate Scholarship in Pharmaceutical Science

A full-time postgraduate scholarship funded by an ARC Linkage Project is
available for a suitably qualified candidate to undertake research
studies leading to a PhD in pharmaceutical science; the project is to
investigate nanoparticles important for the respiratory delivery of
therapeutic compounds; applicants should have an Honours 1 degree in
Science, Engineering, Pharmacy or related field; applicants can be local
or international students, however this scholarship does not cover any
tuition fees payable by international students; $20,427pa; up to three
years.

Australian Postgraduate Award (Industry) on Advanced Structural Metallic
Materials

Two PhD scholarships funded by an ARC Linkage-Projects grant are
available to provide support for 3 years on a full-time basis for two
research projects; project one aims to apply in-situ deformation
transmission electron microscopy to quantitatively investigate the
mechanical behaviour of metallic amorphous/crystalline composites;
project two looks at the mechanism of super strength in nanostructured
Al alloys; applicants should have an Honours 1 or 2A degree or a Masters
by research degree in materials science and engineering, mechanical
engineering or condensed matter physics; $27,222pa; up to three years.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Cancer Cell Biology

A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably
qualified candidate to investigate aspects of powerful new molecular
mechanisms targeted by novel cancer therapies; the project combines the
expertise of 3 research teams in the Bosch Institute Prostate Cancer
Focus Group; applicants should have a first class honours degree in a
related biological science; $22,500pa; up to three years.

Ian O'Rourke Scholarship in Patient Safety

The NSW Clinical Excellence Commission invites applications from
suitably qualified and highly motivated graduates to undertake a program
of full time health services research to improve patient safety and
quality in indigenous health; applicants must reside within New South
Wales for the duration of the scholarship and be Australian citizens or
permanent residents; $30,378pa; up to three years.

Overseas Scholarships

 

Peterhouse Cambridge Research Studentships

The Governing Body of Peterhouse offers annually a number of Research
Studentships; these awards are for study at Peterhouse and are for
candidates for a PhD at the University of Cambridge; generally
sufficient to cover all fees and basic living expenses; up to three
years.
