Postgraduate Scholarship in Geriatric Medicine

A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a medical
practitioner with expertise in Geriatric Medicine leading to a PhD; the
research project will be a clinical project aimed at determining the
best strategies to prevent fractures in older people at high risk of
falls; applicants must be Australian citizens; applicants must have
clinical experience, formal training and expertise in Geriatric
Medicine; $25,000pa; up to three years.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Health Sciences- Popping the Bubble Wrap

A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably
qualified candidate to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in
health sciences; the project is to investigate risk-reframing for
parents and teachers of school aged children; international students can
apply however scholarship funds cannot be used for tuition fees;
$26,669pa; up to three years.

Northcott Scholarship in Improving Practice in Disability Service
Provision

PLEASE NOTE: This scholarship is subject to the signing of an agreement
between the University and the funding body. 

A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably
qualified candidate to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in
health sciences; the project is to investigate risk-reframing for
families of children with disabilities; special consideration will be
given to qualified applicants who have a disability; applicants must be
Australian or New Zealand citizens or Australian permanent residents;
$26,669pa; up to three years.

Overseas Scholarships

 

Sir Robert Menzies Memorial Scholarship in Engineering 

The Sir Robert Menzies Memorial Trust in London offers to Australian
post-graduate students a scholarship in Engineering tenable in the
United Kingdom commencing October, 2009; includes return fares and
substantial emoluments which are not subject to United Kingdom income
tax; up to three years.
