Kolling Institute Cancer Surgery Research Award

A full time postgraduate a scholarship is available for a suitably
qualified candidature with an honours degree in medicine/surgery to
undertake research studies towards a masters of Surgery; the project is
to investigate the proteomic profile of pancreatic cancer in relation to
fine needle aspiration biopsy; applicants must be Australian citizens,
Australian permanent residents, or New Zealand citizens; $20,427pa; one
year. 

Closing Date:  9 September 2009

 

PhD Scholarship in Medical Radiation

A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably
qualified candidate with a first class honours degree in science to
undertake research studies leading to a PhD in medical radiation
sciences; the project is to investigate brain tumour and growth using
microPET and various receptor binding techniques; $25,872 pa; up to
three years.

National Institutes of Health (USA) Junior Scientist Study Visits

The Australian Academy of Science invites Expressions of Interest from
junior scientists who are no more than 30 years of age at the time of
application, to visit the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the
United States of America in 2010; applicants must be Australian citizens
or Australian permanent residents; applicants must have completed or be
completing an Honours or Masters degree, and be intending to commence or
already commenced a PhD degree.

Canadian Studies Awards

The Association for Canadian Studies in Australia and New Zealand
(ACSANZ) and the International Council for Canadian Studies (ICCS)
support scholarship in Canadian Studies by postgraduate students and
recent doctoral graduates; applications are invited for 2010 awards;
awards include the ACSANZ Postgraduate Travel Award, ICCS Graduate
Students Scholarship, and the ICCS Best Doctoral Thesis in Canadian
Studies.

Closing Date:  30 September 2000

 


Gowrie Scholarship Trust Fund Research Scholarship 2010


Applications are invited from graduates or final year students who are
members of the Forces, children, grandchildren or other lineal
descendants of members of the forces who saw active service for
Australia in WWII; tenable for up to two years at universities or other
recognised research establishments either in Australia or overseas;
$4,000 pa for a period of two years.
