Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSANZ)Research
Scholarships

CSANZ scholarships are to undertake a period of training in research
under the full-time supervision of a nominated responsible investigator;
for research into cardiovascular disease and related disorders;
applicants must be a member of CSANZ and be a permanent resident of
Australia or New Zealand; value to equal that of the NHF Postgraduate
Medical or non-Medical Scholarship; up to one year and to be used for
research project expenses. 

Closing Date:  18 September 2009

 

Kidney Health Australia Biomedical Research Scholarships

Kidney Health Australia provides scholarships for individuals to
undertake a PhD or Masters by research into the causes, prevention and
treatment of kidney disorders; applicants should have graduated or be
proposing to graduate in 2009; from $28,000pa to $33,000pa; up to three
years. 

Closing Date:  30 August 2009

Kidney Health Australia Summer Vacation Scholarships 

Kidney Health Australia provides scholarships for undergraduate students
who wish to spend their summer vacation undertaking a supervised
research project related to the causes, prevention and treatment of
disorders of the kidneys and urinary tract; awarded at the end of the
project after satisfactory outcome; $2,000 lump sum.

Dan David Prize

Tel Aviv University will provide 10 Dan David Prize Awards to study
topics in the pre-selected fields of History of Democracy, 20th Century
Literature, and Computers and Telecommunications; aimed at outstanding
doctoral and postdoctoral students; applicants should show excellent
achievement and promise studying topics related to the pre-selected
fields; US$15,000.

Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship 

The Vanier CGS program aims to attract and retain world-class doctoral
students by supporting students who demonstrate a high standard of
scholarly achievement in graduate studies in the social sciences and
humanities, natural sciences and engineering, and health; as well as
leadership skills; Canadian and international students are eligible to
be nominated; students must be nominated by an approved Canadian
University; CAN$50,000pa; up to three years.
