Australian Postgraduate Award (Industry) on the Proteomics of Embryo
Development. 

This scholarship is funded by an ARC Linkage-Project grant and aims to
explore, using the latest proteomic and genomic techniques, the
requirements for normal embryo survival and development leading to a
PhD; applicants should have an Honours 1 or 2A degree in a relevant
biological or biomedical field; applicants must be Australian citizens,
Australian permanent residents or New Zealand citizens; up to three
years; $25,627pa.

Postgraduate PhD Scholarship in Metaphysics

This scholarship is funded by an ARC discovery grant and involves
considering a range of first-order metaphysical claims in a wide range
of areas, whether those claims are necessary and contingent, and
eventually formulating an account of when we should expect metaphysical
claims to be necessary and when contingent, leading to a PhD; applicants
should have a good Honours degree or Masters in Philosophy with a
background in metaphysics; applicants must be Australian citizens,
Australian permanent residents or New Zealand citizens; up to three
years; $26,140 pa.

Doctoral Scholarship in Educational Psychology (Millennium Child
Project)

A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably
qualified candidate with Honours and/or postgraduate qualifications in
education, counselling, and/or psychology to undertake research studies
leading to a PhD in education; the project aims to investigate the
adaptability of children, young people, and young adults and must meet
the specific aims of an ARC Discovery Grant; applicants can be local or
international students, however the scholarship does not cover any
tuition fees; up to three years; $26,140pa.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Clinical Rehabilitation Sciences

A full- time PhD scholarship is available for a suitably qualified
individual with an Honours or research Masters Degree in a health-
related discipline to undertake research studies within the Faculty of
Health Sciences; to investigate rehabilitation strategies in people who
have sustained spinal cord injuries (SCI) resulting in complete or
partial paralysis and motor dysfunction; up to three years; $27,040pa.

Postgraduate Research Scholarship to Advance the Proteomics Surveillance
of Influenza           

A scholarship for full-time PhD research is available to advance
proteomics surveillance of the influenza virus and anti- viral drug
screening; applicants should hold an Honours 1 or high 2A degree (or
equivalent) in a relevant discipline; open to Australian citizens and
permanent residents only; up to three years; $25,000pa or $5,000pa top
up for APA/UPA holders.

Gates Cambridge Scholarship

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation donation enables outstanding
graduate students from outside the United Kingdom to study at the
University of Cambridge; scholarships are awarded on the basis of a
person's intellectual ability, leadership capacity and desire to use
their knowledge to contribute to society throughout the world by
providing service to their communities and applying their talents and
knowledge to improve the lives of others; applicants must be citizens of
any country outside the United Kingdom, and must apply to study any
subject available at the University of Cambridge.

Japan Foundation Grants 2009-2010

The Japan Foundation Headquarters offers a diverse range of grant
programmes worldwide, with the aim of deepening mutual understanding
between Japan and other countries; programmes run from 1 April to 31
March the following year; programmes of interest include the Japanese
Studies Fellowship Program and the Grant Program for Intellectual
Exchange Conference.
