Research Scholarships

 

Postgraduate Research Scholarship (Stuttering Treatment)

For a suitably qualified candidate with an hons degree in
speech-language pathology eligible to enrol in a PhD; the project
involves investigating the allocation of attentional resources in adults
who stutter; $25,000 pa; up to 3 years.

PhD Scholarships in Basic Medical Research (PV07/11)

Projects are multi-disciplinary with training in molecular and cellular
biology techniques, with some involving mass spectrometry, proteomics,
protein-protein interactions, transgenic animals or live cell imaging;
successful applicants will be awarded a CMRI scholarship, which has a
value greater than that of the APA or NHMRC Postgraduate scholarships.

Leukaemia Foundation PhD Scholarships 2008

The PhD Scholarships have a total value of $40,000 ($25,000 stipend and
$15,000 consumables); up to 1 year; applications are invited from
Australian citizens and permanent residents or those able to demonstrate
eligibility to enroll at an Australian institution.

Other Scholarships

 

2008 Marten Bequest Travelling Scholarships

Offered in Acting, Instrumental Music, Painting, Poetry, Prose, and
Singing; open to native-born Australians aged 21-35 (17-35 ballet) who
are of outstanding ability and promise; $18,000; may be used for study,
maintenance and travel either in Australia or overseas.

Closing Date:  26 October 2007

Lady Mollie Askin Scholarship

For Australian citizens over the age of 17 years and under the age of 30
years of outstanding ability and promise in Ballet; $7,500 over 2 years;
to be used for study, maintenance and travel either in Australia or
overseas.

Overseas Scholarships

 

Frank Knox Memorial Fellowships to Harvard University 

For postgraduate study at Harvard University in the US academic year
2008-2009; applicants must be Australian citizens normally resident in
Australia; have recently graduated or are about to graduate from an
Australian institution and have spent at least 2 of the last 4 years at
university at the time of application; have graduated no earlier than
2006 or will graduate before September 2008; provides a stipend and pays
tuition and student health insurance fees; up to 2 years.
