Research Scholarships

 

Australian Postgraduate Research Award (Industry) on the Engagement and
Achievement in Mathematics of Middle-School Students

Available for a full-time research project leading to a PhD; the project
is to explore the impact of primary to secondary school transition on
students' engagement and achievement in mathematics; $25,627 pa, up to 3
yrs; applicants should have an Hons 1 or 2.1 in primary education or
secondary mathematics education; must be Australian citizens, Australian
permanent residents or NZ citizens.

PhD Scholarship to Advance Aquaculture in Australasia

Available for an Australian citizen or permanent resident enrolled
full-time PhD; the project is to improve the productivity and
profitability of smallholder shrimp (prawn) farms in Indonesia;
applicants should be a graduate in biological sciences, veterinary
science, agricultural science or agricultural economics with an interest
in a career supporting the aquaculture industries in Australia and the
wider region; $25,000 pa; up to 3 yrs.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Healthcare Services for Older People

Available for candidates with an Hons degree, or equivalent, in health
related discipline to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in
Healthcare Services for Older People; $22,000 pa; up to 3 years,
applicants must be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents
or NZ citizens.

Overseas Scholarships

 

The John Crampton Travelling Scholarships

Open to students of Architecture, Engineering, Fine Arts or Classical
Antiquity wanting to undertake a higher degree in Italy, Germany, Spain,
Greece or any other country considered appropriate; the scholarships
comprise of a living allowance, payment of most compulsory tuition fees
and a travel allowance; up to 2 yrs for a Masters and 3 yrs for a
Doctorate.

Bicentennial Gold 88 Endowment 

Financial awards are available for advancement of education and research
in Earth Sciences for the benefit of Economic Geology in Australia; can
be awarded as scholarships to senior university students and researchers
for study and/or research in Economic Geology/Mineral Economic,
technical visits, travel to conferences to deliver papers, or
environmental Geoscience as applied to the Exploration/Mining industry;
$10,000.
