RESEARCH:  Civil Engineering, Law, Cell Signalling and Colon Cancer,
Protein trafficking in breast cancer, Social Research and Dementia

 

 

J.W. and I.C.M. Roderick scholarship in Civil Engineering

For an outstanding student to conduct research in the area of steel
structures; up to 3 years; for a research project leading to a PhD;
applicants should have an H1 or 2A degree in civil engineering, or
equivalent, and an interest in steel structures; $19,231 pa; open to
Australian and international applicants; does not cover any tuition fees
payable by international students but a supplementary Faculty
scholarship is available for international applicants.

2007 Postgraduate Research Scholarships in Law

The Faculty of Law at the University of Sydney will offer scholarships
to outstanding scholars who wish to pursue postgraduate study in law.

*	The Reca Stone Scholarship in Legal Theory

Postgraduate Scholarship in Cell Signalling and Colon Cancer

For a suitably qualified candidate with an H1 or 2A degree in science to
undertake studies leading to a PhD in the Faculty of Medicine at
Westmead Institute for Cancer Research; the research project will entail
use of a range of molecular and cell biology techniques to investigate
the intracellular trafficking and function of the wnt signalling
protein, beta-catenin; applicants must be Australian citizens,
Australian permanent residents or New Zealand citizens; $21,000 pa; for
2 years with possibility of renewal for a 3rd year.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Protein trafficking in breast cancer

For a suitably qualified candidate with an H1 or 2A degree in science to
undertake studies leading to a PhD in the Faculty of Medicine at
Westmead Institute for Cancer Research; the research project will entail
use of a range of molecular and cell biology techniques to investigate
the intracellular trafficking and function of the breast cancer proteins
BRCA1 and BARD1; applicants must be Australian citizens, Australian
permanent residents or New Zealand citizens $21,000 pa for 2 years with
possibility of renewal for a 3rd year.

2006 AAR/CRC Joint Postgraduate Research Scholarship in Social Research
and Dementia

This scholarship is offered in partnership between Alzheimer's Australia
Research Limited (AAR) and the Dementia Collaborative Research Centre -
Consumers and Social Research (DCRC - CSR), established by the
Australian Government as part of its Dementia National Health Priority
Initiative; the scholarship will support a PhD student undertaking
research in an area relevant to social research and dementia; $25,000
pa; usually awarded for 3 years.
