Research Scholarships

 

Postgraduate Research Scholarship in Stuttering Treatment

Open to a suitably qualified candidate with an Hons degree in
speech-language pathology eligible to enrol in a PhD at USyd; in some
cases students without an honours degree may be eligible; the project
involves a clinical trial of different service delivery models of the
Lidcombe Program with preschoolers who stutter; $25,000 pa; up to 3
years.

ARC Funded Postgraduate Scholarship in Biomedical Engineering

Available for a suitably qualified candidate with a degree in science or
engineering to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in Biomedical
Engineering; the project is to investigate bone-remodelling induced by a
range of dental restorations; $20,800 pa; up to 3 years.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Human Nutrition - Glycemic Index and
Lifestyle Disease

Available for a suitably qualified candidate with distinction or higher
grade in Nutrition and Dietetics to undertake research studies leading
to a PhD in Human Nutrition; the project is to investigate the
relationship between glycemic carbohydrate and the risk of developing
chronic lifestyle diseases in a cohort of Australians; $28,600 pa; 1
year.

Australian Postgraduate Award (Industry) on HRCT-Based Airway
Measurements

This scholarship is for a research project leading to a PhD; the project
is to improve the reliability of high resolution computed tomography
(HRCT) using validation based on X-ray micro-tomography (XRCT);
applicants should have an Hons 1 or 2A degree in science or engineering
or equivalent post graduate qualifications; $24,650 pa; up to 3 years.
