RESEARCH:  Characterisation of Deformation of Materials, Community
Ambulation, Falls prevention, Pain, Injury and Disability, Growth of
Coral Reefs.

 

 

Postgraduate Scholarships in Characterisation of Deformation of
Materials

3 scholarships are available on a full-time basis for a research project
leading to a PhD; the objective of the research project is to
characterise the deformation of materials under complex conditions;
applicants should have an Hons degree in the field of materials,
mechanics, or a relevant discipline; $24,851 pa; up to 3 years;
applicants must be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents
or NZ citizens.

Community Ambulation PhD Scholarship

A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably
qualified candidate with a Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy/Exercise and
Sports Science, and experience in projects specifically aimed at a
diverse client group with an illness; a relevant Master's degree and
clinical trials experience will be highly regarded; $25,000; up to 2
years.

Postgraduate Research Scholarship (Falls prevention with minority
communities)

A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available to investigate the
enablers and barriers of implementing and sustaining a falls prevention
program; candidates should have a degree in psychology, occupational
therapy, physiotherapy or related degree and be eligible to enrol in a
PhD at the Faculty of Health Sciences; $25,000 pa; up to 1.5 years.

Pain, Injury and Disability Research Scholarship

A 12 month scholarship is available for a student already enrolled
full-time in a PhD programme at The University of Sydney; to support a
student carrying out fundamental laboratory based research which
addresses the complex relationships of injury, pain and disability;
$12,000 pa.

Postgraduate Scholarship in the Growth of Coral Reefs

A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably
qualified candidate with a good honours degree in Marine Science to
undertake research studies leading to a PhD in the growth and origin of
modern reefs, with specific reference to Once Tree reef and other reefs
in the Capricorn/Bunker Reefs; $19,231 pa; up to 1 year only; applicants
must be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or NZ.
