Short-term Postgraduate Scholarship in Telecommunications

A six-month full-time scholarship available for a project to investigate
wireless sensor networks and cooperative communications as they apply to
precise agriculture; applicants should have a good honours degree in
electrical engineering; must be citizens or permanent residents of
Australia; $10,000 for six months, possibility of renewal.

Postgraduate Scholarship on Neuropathology in the Sudden Infant Death
Syndrome (SIDS) and in piglet models

Available for a project involves (1) exploring the brainstem pathology
of SIDS infant and (2) investigating the effects of the main SIDS risk
factors in young developing piglets; applicants should have an Hons 1 or
2A degree in science or a related field; experience/background in animal
studies and histological techniques an advantage; $18,837 pa + $1,500
for approved expenses; 2 yrs for Masters or 3 yrs for PhD.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Computational Quantum Chemistry

Available for a project to investigate the thermodynamic and kinetic
indications of radical stability; applicants should have a good honours
degree or equivalent in science or engineering; a particular interest
and relevant background in computational quantum chemistry; must be
citizens or permanent residents of Australia; $18,837 pa; 2 yrs for
Masters or 3 yrs for PhD.

Pharmacy Top-up and APA Equivalent Scholarships

The Faculty of Pharmacy is funding multiple top-up and APA equivalent
scholarships in 2006; top-up scholarships @ $5,000 for 3 yrs to students
who receive an APA; APA equivalent scholarships for suitable candidates
who are unsuccessful in their APA applications; applicants should have
an Hons 1 or 2A degree or equivalent in science, med science, pharmacy,
engineering or public health; must be citizens or permanent residents of
Australia or New Zealand citizens.
