Viral Transport; Deformation of Hard-Brittle Wafers; Programming Languages

Postgraduate Scholarship in Viral Transport

Open to candidate with an Hons 1 or 2A degree in science to undertake
research studies leading to a PhD in virology; the project is to investigate
the mechanism of microtubule-based transport of herpes simplex virus in
human neurones; $18,837 pa; up to 3 years; must be citizens or permanent
residents of Australia.

Australian Postgraduate Award (Industry) on Deformation of Hard-Brittle
Wafers

Available for a PhD research project to explore the deformation
characteristics and material properties of hard-brittle wafers to develop
feasible guidelines for practical use; applicants should have an Hons 1 or
2A degree in materials science and engineering, applied physics,
manufacturing engineering or mechanical engineering; $23,886 pa; up to 3
years; must be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or NZ
citizens.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Programming Languages and Compiler Construction

Available to support for 3 years on a full-time basis for a research project
leading to a PhD; the research project is to design and implement compiler
optimisations for embedded systems environments; applicants should have a
strong background in computer science and should hold a Hons 1 or 2A degree
or equivalent education; $20,000 pa.
