RESEARCH: Molecular Responses to Interferon-treatment in Multiple Sclerosis; Plant Biochemistry

Australian Postgraduate Award (Industry) on Molecular Responses to Interferon-treatment in multiple sclerosis

2 scholarships are available for full-time research leading to a PhD; the project is to investigate the molecular basis for responses to interferon beta treatment in multiple sclerosis (MS); applicants should have an Hons 1 or 2A degree in Biochemistry, Immunology, or Molecular Biology; $25,118 pa; up to 3 years; applicants must be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents, or NZ citizens.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Plant Biochemistry

Open to candidate with a good Hons degree in Molecular Biology or Biochemistry to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in Plant Biochemistry; the project is to characterize photosynthetic pigment biosynthesis focusing on novel chlorophylls using both Enzymology and genomic approaches; max $24,000 pa; up to 3 years; international students can apply and if successful, the stipend does not cover any tuition fees payable by international students.
